2025.11 Release Highlights
Fall is cruising toward winter and the days are getting colder - but we're not slowing down over here at Fuuz! We've got a few nice changes to highlight this month - read on to learn more!
The first highlight this month is a significant update to our navigation menu sidebar (or "drawer"). Historically, this drawer has had two modes: an "expanded" mode where it displays menu item names, and a "collapsed" mode where it only displays icons. However, there was no way to completely remove the drawer if the user had a role menu assigned, and in both cases the drawer menu took up physical space on the screen, pushing other elements to the right. That style of interaction felt dated, and the "narrow" mode meant the options for the layout of that drawer menu were very limited. We decided it was time for a facelift!
The updated drawer menu still retains a similar "expanded" mode as before, where the drawer menu is wide enough to display menu item names and takes up physical space on the screen. However, when the drawer menu icon is clicked, the menu will be "collapsed", where it is now entirely hidden; there is no "narrow" version, which gives us a lot more flexibility for building out rich navigation in that drawer without worrying about how it'll look when only half-visible. Critically, when not "expanded", users can hover over the new drawer menu icon to display a temporary "hover" drawer, which doesn't take up space on the screen - meaning the drawer can be quickly accessed to perform navigation, after which it will hide itself again automatically - all without disrupting the layout of the rest of the screen. The updated drawer also includes a much-improved mobile mode, which should make navigation on mobile devices more intuitive.
You can see a demonstration of the new interaction below!
This updated approach gives us a much better foundation for unifying the navigation experience in Fuuz - something which will be happening progressively over the next few releases, so keep an eye on that drawer menu!
More Highlights
IP CIDR Whitelists on Identity Providers
In the 2025.11 release, we've added a new security feature: the ability to apply IP whitelists on identity providers. This new IP whitelist feature operates in addition to IP whitelist and blacklist rules on access control policies, and provides an easily configurable way to completely disallow logins from certain users when the login request comes from outside an approved IP CIDR range. Enterprise administrators can simply create a new identity provider for IP-restricted users, apply an IP whitelist to it, and then transition users to that new identity provider. Once configured, any login requests from those users which come from outside those approved IP ranges will be rejected with a clear error message - and that rejection will of course also be tracked in the Authentication Events log.
New Data Change Indicators on Designers
Finally, the November 2025 release includes a new improvement to our primary designers (Schema, Data Flow, Screen, etc.) This feature improves visibility into changes happening within Fuuz environments where multiple users are collaborating and helps prevent accidental overwrites of changes made elsewhere. The change indicator will provide information on who made a change, and will verify whether to proceed with saving changes if a conflict is detected.
