In this video we demonstrate changing your active Role, within the Fuuz environment. Roles may or may not commonly exist between your environments like Build, QA, Production; this maybe due to differences in as-built versus as-designed solutions. For example, you may have different roles in Build, than you do in Production. This is not a flaw - this is simply how your administrator has things configured.
Roles, provide you with visibility to things within the system, as well as have what we call Policy Groups attached, these policy groups control your level of access to data and other resources within Fuuz.
Roles also - may have a set 'home screen', this is Role specific and not user specific. The home screen can be defaulted by your Administrator and can be any screen within Fuuz.
The current active role that you've been assigned, or have assigned to yourself, dictates your level of access within the system. Be sure to verify the role you're actively using, if you're not able to access something that you believe you should have. If you don't have a role that provides adequate access, you'll need to consult with your system administrator.
Roles and access within Fuuz, are completely separate from your Single Sign On processes; though, given our open APIs, your system administrator could configure roles and policies within Fuuz based on events happening within your other IT directories - this functionality requires setup and integration to be managed by your IT staff. This is quite complex and can require a significant skill set - so only advanced users should attempt this.
