This article provides the steps to create a document from Plex data by using the MFGx Document Designer.
Navigate to the Document Designer by searching for it int the Search Bar.
Alternately, if the user role is configured, navigate to it by using the Document Designer button in the side bar.
To navigate to the Document Designer screen, follow these steps:
Open Fuuz MES.
Use the search bar (top, right) to search for Document Designer, and select the result.
OR
Open Fuuz MES.
Select the MFGx dropdown menu.
Select the System option.
Select the Orchestration option.
Select the Document Designer option.
In the Document Designer, click the floppy disk button or use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + s to save the document.
Wait for the modal menu to pop up.
Fill in the document name.
Fill in the version number.
Optionally, type a description.
Select the Create Document Flow checkbox to generate a flow for the document.
Click the floppy disk button to save and generate the flow.
Wait for the Saved Payloads panel to appear (right side).
Wait for the Recent Payloads panel to appear (right side).
Ignore the Saved Payloads panel and the Recent Payloads panel.
Click on the Deploy button (top, right).
Wait for the Document version deployed successfully message to appear.
Click the blue checkmark button to confirm the action.
Wait for the success message to appear (bottom, right).
Navigate to the Data Flows screen in Fuuz.
Select the flow for the recently created document Document Flow: Test Document in the Data Flows screen.
Click on the Design button to access the flow.
Verify the flow appears correctly (example shown).
Replace the Format Payload node with a relevant node containing document data.
For example: When building a document based on GraphQL data from the API, replace the Format Payload node with a Query node.
When building a document based on data from Plex, drop in a Plex Datasource node (example shown).
Select the Plex Datasource node.
Select a connection from the panel (right).
Type in the Datasource Key.
Click on the blue button in the Debug Source node to execute the flow.
Navigate to the Document Designs screen to view the data flow.
